From the creators of such perennial dining hotspots as Floridita, Avenue and Alemida, D&D Restaurants unveils its first ever hotel property in the East End between Moorgate and Liverpool Street. An exterior silhouette created by Allies + Morrison with interiors by Conran & Partners, the hotel is a continuum of the gastro-hotel theme but conveyed over a larger design hotel that promises to be 'more meet than sleep'. The result is a bustling lobby accessed through a streetscape adorned with modern art selected by an in-house art council. A dapper doorman in newpaper boy cap and three-piece suit welcomes guests to light-filled lobby framed In floor-to-ceiling walls of glass that extends to the main floor eatery known as 3 South Place. On the roof is a lavish new eatery known as Angler offering a seafood-inspired menu by former One Aldwych chef Tony Fleming.
The Room
A total of 80-rooms with interiors by Conran & Partners feature minimalist lines integrated with rich use of woods, archival art prints and modern art as well as rich, masculine wool carpets. Larger suites like th 610 and Studio offering furnishings from B&B Italia and Moooi with upper floor locations that seize panoramic city views. . Hotel perks include sizeable in-house gym with spa as well as a member’s club known as Le Chiffe with games room.
